I'm new to break pal, and this seems like such a great concept. With exercise comes energy and with energy comes productivity. It's a great way to stay in shape in my home office, but I am still a little confused as to how things work. First of all, what are the points for? Do you cash them in for like a new exercise or something? The second thing is how do you shut break pal down at the end of the day? I closed it out last night but it wouldn't relaunch this morning. I had to uninstall it and then install it again to get it to work. Does anyone have any insight on these questions? Thanks.

Now that I have a normal schedule going on I can finally take some time to set some goals. I really need to set my goals. It is hard for me to keep more than one blog, so this one here at My Fitness Pal tends to get put on the back burners. I have Windows 7 and have since pinged MFP to the bottom of my screen so it is there for me to see now. This way, I wont forget to turn it on.

Wow, I was surprised when I got an email stating I had not been in my account for some time.
The holidays were a mad rush and this week I have been working on redoing my website. Moving from free blogger with my own domain to self hosted with my domain using wordpress. It has been stressful and frustrating. But, the move is done, just in time for the new year.

Honestly, I have forgotten to turn on MBP. My only thought process has been my website.

Absent">Absent

I can't believe I have been absent all week! I also can't believe I have missed the program! Ha. Who would have thought I would miss exercise?!?! I have been trying to get ready for the holidays and have not been at my desk for long periods of time. Good for the body, bad for work. I have a couple of book reviews I need to finish up on for my website along with some updates. Then there are more presents to wrap. It is going to be busy, busy for the next few days. If I am not around, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and I will be back on Monday!

Other Videos?">Other Videos?

So far I am loving this program!

I was just wondering, do you guys have more videos in the works? Are they all going to be Yoga based?

I would love to see some things like jumping jacks, walking in place, arm circles, maybe even the jump rope w/o the rope. I found a few of these on YouTube, but who has time to remember to go there?? It would be great to see these in the videos we currently have. I know some office people may not want these, especially those that share an office space or are in a cubicle, but I know many who would enjoy these!

I log all my meals and exercise on My Fitness Pal. I am curious to know how I would input this? Would I just total all minutes and place in light impact aerobics, cardio, or????

I just wanted to introduce myself to the community. I work as a bank teller at a very slow branch and figured I could do something healthy instead of sitting around all day. This seems like a good place to help me do exactly that. I do have one question though; what software do I need to view the videos on the website? I'm not sure if I don't have the software or if my work just blocks the video.

New Break Pal Desktop application released">New Break Pal Desktop application released

Well it's finally here. The Break Pal desktop application is finally completely rebuilt. We've been working on this for a while and today we finally release.

The new Break Pal is now built on adobe air. A far more robust platform which will allow us to add far more features. Easier to install. I know a lot of people have had install problems with the previous version. This will solve that.

Hi all,
I've been out of the office a lot lately and just logged on tonight to find all sorts of new users! Welcome everyone.
Some of you have signed up but not started using the program. Please email me or post if you have any questions as to how it works or how to get started.

I have heard from a few users that the widget install is buggy on IE and we are working on a fix. If that's the case email me and I'll send you a link for a manual download.

Hi I'm Kathy, from Laramie, WY. I started working in an office a year ago, and have gained more than 20 pds!!! So sad for me! lol I do love my work though. A year into it and I'm ready to fit some exercise in. I just started break pal yesterday and can't believe how much better I felt after only one day. Being sedentary really takes a toll on the body and enthusiasm level. I'm so glad that some wonderful person came up with this terrific program. And kudos to that person for allowing those of us with little to no extra money the opportunity to benefit!

How often does the break pal widget pop up and can I customize how often break pal tells me to exercise? Thanks a bunch! Kathy

Break Pal Error">Break Pal Error

Welcome new members. Great to have you and we're excited about so many of you signing up.

We just realized there was an error on account creation. It's been fixed.
It did cause a slight problem though. If you filled out more information than your name, avator, and email address that info did not get recorded. You can easily fix that by going to your account. At the top you'll see a tab called user profile. Click on thatand you'll be able to fill out your info. That would make us happy since we love to know who our fellow Break pals are.

Downloading the Widget">Downloading the Widget

If you have any problems downloading the widget or your company doesn't allow it please let us know. There are workarounds and more coming. I'll get some instructions up for workarounds very soon.
