Chair Chi Kung - Seated Serving Tea

Very Peaceful

Whew! This one requires a bit of hand-eye coordination :) But it, felt good to be moving around.

Serving Tea

I had problems initially because I was trying to mirror Liz, but of course when she says "right" I have to move to my left, and vice versa. Once I realized that, it became pretty easy. I've got to try it with pennies next and find out how level my palms really are ;)

Mirror Image

After years of teaching Kung Fu I can teach mirror image. I think I slip in and out of that mode without noticing. It's a miracle I know what side of the road to drive on, LOL.

Love this but...

This is my favorite I think, but I'm so frustrated because I can't seem to get it going left. I've got the right down pat, but on the left I'm spilling "tea" everywhere! Probably means I have an unbalanced mind too. I'm going to practice this daily. ~K

I am too uncoordinated for this one. My hands were not going the way I wanted them too! It will take practice. I liked the music, very relaxing.

This one can be tough. I call it the comic relief part of class because everyone's body is doing something different. The most important detail is the spine stays straight, the rotation comes from counter balancing hips & head.
When doing the hands put a penny in the palm of your hands, leaving the palms flat try the exercise without dropping the penny. I recommend this before using actual tea cups :)

Finally Got It!

It took me a few tries. I found if I turned the volume down it's acturally easier for me to do this one. I don't get as confused. LOL Yes, I've blond! LOL This feels so great on my back and my tummy is getting stronger. Thanks!

Serving Tea

This is my favorite sitting exercise! It feels SO good on the back, shoulders, neck!

Serving Tea

So, is the standing version the same thing but standing? Very cool! I can feel that tightening my tubby tummy!

Lower back

This feels so good on the lower back, releasing that tension from sitting in my office chair.

Just tried this for the 1st

Just tried this for the 1st time because my lower back has been bothering me. I could really feel it helping with that. I think it will take a few times for me to get those hand and arm movements right though LOL - I was all over the place!

Plain 'ol fun

I never get tired of doing OR teaching "serving tea". This one should always be fun!
