Sqeezing In Exercise
I am a special education teacher and author in Georgia. My days are pretty full with me trying to be the best husband, father (I have two young daughters), teacher and book promoter that I can be. I love
to exercise because of how I feel afterwards - the energy it gives me -and because I know how important it is. There are some days that it is a challenge to squeeze in a workout but I do the best I can to make sure I get some physical activity.
On days that I do not have the time set aside to workout, some of the activities I have done include:
sets of push-ups while playing with my girls
running laps in my backyard while my family is out playing
dips using our couch while the girls are watching tv
running laps around our house
taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work
parking far away from the entrance at work or a store
I know that these are not as good as a traditional workout, but I figure something is better than nothing.

Good role model!
What a good role model you are for your kids, showing them how important it is to take care of yourself and you can do it while being around them. "Traditional" doesn't work for the majority so why is it still traditional? If we all keep up our mini office workouts and couch push up's then we will become the new tradition.
